Services held 11:00 am Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at St. Paul AME Church, Rumble Road, Smarr, Georgia. Keep the family in prayer.

A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she lived a life full of love, faith, and service to others. Mary Lee Davis was born in Forsyth, GA, on April 3, 1938, to the parents of Wilson and Louise Davis. She transitioned to her heavenly home on October 17, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Davis, Jr.; her daughter, Barbara Ann Davis; her sisters, Sadie Chambliss, Wylene Wilkerson, and Irene Walton; and her brothers, Sammie Davis, R.L. Davis, Tommie Davis, Woodrow Davis, and Roosevelt Davis.

Mary Davis dedicated over 20 years of service to Bibb Village, where she was known for her kindness, strong work ethic, and gentle spirit. She later retired from the Monroe County Board of Education after serving for another 20 years of loyal dedication, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and care for the students and staff she had served.

A faithful servant of the Lord, she was an active and devoted member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church. She served faithfully on the Trustee Board and was a proud member of the Missionary Society, where she shared her faith through action and love. Her commitment to her church community was unwavering and deeply felt by all who knew her. She was also a Life Member of The Progressive Lodge #63, where she served diligently as Treasurer, demonstrating integrity and leadership in all she did. Outside of her many commitments, she enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She had a passion for gardening, found joy in watching her Atlanta Braves and WWE, and most of all, loved spending precious time with her family, who were the center of her world.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Jackie Johnson (Clarence), Angela Bloodser, both of Forsyth, GA, and a son, Jim Davis (Janet), of McDonough, GA. Two Sisters Annie Bell Bucker of Forsyth, GA, and Dorothy Davis of Macon, GA. Five grandchildren: Tabatha Goodson (Roderick), Juantavious Bloodser of Forsyth, GA, Brianna Davis, Tyrek Bloodser of McDonough, GA, and Trinity Johnson; and seven great-grandchildren. A special sister-in-law, Mamie Lee Morgan, a Special friend, Florrie Ogletree, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
