Mary Permelia Digamon, 78, of Hull, died March 20, 2026.

Born February 21, 1948, in Clarke County, Mary was a daughter of the late Ruby Elizabeth Haynes and Chandler Walter Bray and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Bray, Clifford Bray and Gene Bray.

Mary retired from Bell South/AT&T after more than twenty years and then worked in the office of Dr. Paul Beltran for fifteen years. A longtime member of First Baptist Church of Winterville, Mary lived a loving and peaceful life and had many friends including a special, lifelong friend, Peggy Deal. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and had a genuine love for her family. She overcame many health issues throughout her life and will surely be missed.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, with Rev. Phil Wages officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip O. Digamon; son, Richard Thomas (Joan) Barrett of Hull; grandchildren, Austin, Hunter, Brandon; four great grandchildren, Jordyn, Averie, Cheyenne and Cloie; three brothers, Douglas Bray of San Jose, CA, Jesse Allen “Pete” Bray of Winterville, Jerry Bray of Lexington; many nieces and nephews; former husband, Frank T. Barrett.
