Mary Lorrine DiVenturi, age 91, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in the warmth and love of her granddaughter Lacey's home. She was born on October 12, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, to Joseph Sr. and Sophie Czarnecki.
Mary married the love of her life, James J. DiVenturi Sr., on November 21, 1953, in Illinois. Their love was the firm foundation upon which they built a life and family together. Three children were born to this union. After her husband's passing in 1994, Mary's love and devotion to him remained a constant in her life, a testament to the depth of their bond.
She was an exceptional cook, known for sharing her recipes and culinary wisdom with her daughters and granddaughter. Often, her dishes included fresh produce from her garden. Her love for traveling, fishing, and camping was infectious, and she frequently gathered her family for adventures that turned into cherished memories.
Mary is survived by her children, Lugene (David) Daniels, Debra DiVenturi, and James J DiVenturi Jr.; grandchildren, Tony (Sara) DiVenturi, Lacey (Allen) DiVenturi-Reynolds, Bo (Natasha) Christman, and Michael (Savannah) DiVenturi; great-grandchildren, Malik, Chloe, Emma, Damian, Gianna, Finn, Wyatt, Carson, Alayna, Carmen, Bentley, and Owen. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sr. and Sophie, husband, James J DiVenturi Sr, granddaughter, LeeAnn DiVenturi.
The family will hold a private ceremony, laying Mary to rest next to her true love, James Sr., at St. Croix Falls Cemetery in St. Croix Falls, WI.
