It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary "Lorie" Doskey, 59, of Irving. She passed away Wednesday, April 16th at the Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, TX. She was born July 12, 1965, in Dallas, TX and was the daughter of Phillip and Mary Jeanette Schrader.
Those left to cherish Lorie's memory include her husband of 24 years, Walter Doskey, her children, Eric Amos, Chloe Doskey, and numerous foster children; her sisters Peggy Amos and Kelly Duree; her father, Phillip Schrader; and a grandchild, Ally Turrentine, along with numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family and friends.
Lorie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Riggins Schrader, and by her paternal grandparents, Clara and Ellsworth "Dude" Schrader, who had a great influence on Lorie's upbringing.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 26th at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 W. Airport Freeway, Irving, TX. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 AM until service at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Memorial Garden in Irving.
