Mary Bell Swaim Dunlap, at 90 years, passed onto her heavenly home on Friday June 16 at 5:29 pm at her home in Lindale, Texas, she was surrounded by her family and friends.
Mary was born on October 23,1932 in Overton, Texas to Willis Green Breedlove and Zola Fae Burkhalter Breedlove.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Glenn R. Dunlap on December 17, 2022 and her first husband Louie D. Swaim on July 8,1998 and her great-granddaughter Krysten Ann Millard on November 17, 2000, two brothers, two sisters and one niece.
Mary leaves behind one sister Willie Webb of Big Spring, Texas, one daughter Kathy Swaim Crisco and son-in-law Timothy Crisco of Lindale, Texas, one grand-daughter Kimberly Self and partner Dillion McQueen of Lindale Texas, one great-grandson Derek Millard and partner Lydia Black of Sulphur Springs, Texas, one great-granddaughter Haylee Millard and partner Walker Pugh of Carterville, Missouri, five great-grand sons, Masyn Millard of Lone Oak, Texas, Eli Black of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Carter Millard of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Kyler Millard of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Kamdyn Pugh of Carterville, Missouri; two sister-in-laws, Alice Swaim of Mont Belvieu, Texas and Barbara Smith of Vernon, Texas; and one brother-in-law: Loyd Swaim and wife Jeannie of Grandbury, Texas.
Mary was blessed with seven bonus children when she and Glenn married in 2004. Steve Dunlap of Allentown, PA, Myron Dunlap and husband Christian of Sahuarita, AZ, Karen Burleson and husband James of Tuscon, AZ, Harold Dunlap and finance' Stacey Bowen of Macungie, PA, Kim Dunlap of Lyman, MA, Christopher Dunlap and wife Rebecca of Owls head, MA and Wendy Dunlap of Salisbury, NC.
Mary had twelve bonus grandchildren, Jessica Dunlap, Christopher Laskey, Erin Burleson, Shelby Thompson, Alliy Stallings, Jamie Larson, Jennifer Graban, Jasmine Colson, Ryan Bergeron, Liam Bergeron, Alexis Dunlap and Candice Dunlap.
Mary had seven bonus great-grandchildren, Robert Furlong, Noelia Molina, Brielle Dunlap, Lilibeth Burleson, Warren Larson, Alice Whitney and Lincoln Whitney.
Mary was blessed with seventeen nieces and nephews, Billy Joe Byrd and wife Sherrie, Darrel Byrd and wife Theresa, Willis Byrd and wife Debbie, JoAnn Beckham and husband Blake, Tammy Ladner and husband Richard, Ronnie Hinton and wife Patricia, Deidra Shelton and husband Scott, Debbie Webb, Stacey Breedlove, Ken Breedlove, Regina Breedlove, Tony Breedlove, Carol Rutherford, Gary Swaim, Duane Srader and wife Linda, Doug Srader and wife Ruth, and Dennis Srader and wife Pam.
Mary lived in numerous places but she called Sulphur Springs, Texas and Georgetown, Texas home. Mary was a stay-at-home wife and mother but she did ironing for the public as her job inside her home. Her customers were her friends and became her social life.
Mary was a long-time member of Crestview Baptist Church in Georgetown, TX.
The family would like to send a heart-felt thank you to the Heart to Heart Hospice team of Tyler, Texas.
A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628. A funeral service with Pastor David Hicks officiating will occur Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow at IOOF Cemetery, 1117 E 7th St, Georgetown, TX 78626.
