It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we share the passing of Mary Ellen Dysart on October 15, 2025. Mary Ellen was a woman of grace, warmth, and strength, whose presence brought comfort to all who knew her.
Born with an extraordinary capacity for compassion, Mary Ellen dedicated her life to caring for others. She served her family quietly, faithfully, and without ever seeking recognition. She cared for so many throughout their entire lives, guiding them through illness and change with a steadfast love and gentle heart. Caring was not something she did, it was who she was.
Mary Ellen cherished her family above all. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a proud grand and great grandmother. She found joy in life's simple pleasures: the beauty of a well-tended garden, the presence of her family, and the peace of a quiet evening at home. Mary Ellen taught those around her the importance of gratitude, faith, and loving without condition.
Though our hearts ache in her absence, we celebrate the remarkable life she lived. A life marked by love, selflessness, and deep compassion. Her gentle spirit will continue to inspire us, and her memory will forever be a blessing.
A memorial service to honor Mary Ellen's life will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 11:00 am, at Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Road, Broomall, PA 19008, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. The Delaware County/Chester County Chapter of the Nurse Honor Guard of Pennsylvania will be presenting a tribute at 10:45 am.
In lieu of flowers, and to honor Mary Ellen's career as a nurse, donations can be made to Hospice and Community Care at www.hospiceandcommunitycare.org/in-honor-in-memory-gifts/.
