Mrs. Mary Alice Bleakley Eberle left this world on Friday, January 2, 2026, for a much better and more deserving place.
Mary’s greatest happiness came from spending time with her family and closest friends. Mary and Joe shared a love of travel, travelling all over the United States visiting many National Parks and State Parks in their camper. Mary’s other passions were reading, shelling along the beach, and crafting. When not traveling, Mary was busy with her craft group, making wreathes, Christmas ornaments, and painting gourds. She was always looking forward to the next craft show and getting together with her craft buddies.
Mary was raised in Columbia, SC graduating from A. C. Flora High School in 1969. After high school, she attended Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Columbia, SC and later in the medical field with various private practices in Louisville, KY before she retired.
Mary was born on August 26, 1951, in Columbia, South Carolina, the second of four daughters to Marion and Betty Bleakley. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her older sister, Betty Lee Westbury. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Eberle, daughter, Carrie Jacobs (Andy Rich), son, Scott Jacobs (Ashley), step-sons, Scott Eberle (Jana), and Craig Eberle, sisters, Julie Ballance (Kevin) and Pat Wall (Don), and grandchildren, Audry, Sarah, Annabelle, Drew, Issac, Ethan, Maria, Aaron, Lydia, Collin, Cali and Madison.
The family would like to thank the staff of Rivercrest Senior Living and Bristol Hospice who have graciously cared for Mary over the last 9 months. While at Rivercrest, Mary made many new friends and enjoyed the crafts and activities offered.
A private service will be held in Mary's honor at a later date.
