Mary Ellen Russell Williford, 85, of Elm City passed away on Thursday, February 29. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 5 at 6:00 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Reverend Johnny Hudson will officiate.
Family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at Joyner’s Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Allen and Melinda Williford.
Mary Ellen is survived by her sons, Allen Williford and wife, Melinda of Wilson and Graham Williford of the home; brother, Archie Russell of Atlantic Beach; several nieces and nephews; and her very special furbaby, Junior.
Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Lloyd Gordon Williford; brothers, Charles Russell, Jerry Russell, Bobby Russell, and Lewis Russell; and parents, Charles and Lucille Gay Russell.

The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Wilson Medical Center for their compassion and care over the past few weeks.
