Mary K. Ermatinger

Mary K. Ermatinger passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, at the age of 99.

Mary lived a life defined by love, faith, and selfless devotion to others. She devoted many years caring for her late daughter, Kathy, whose life she enriched with unwavering commitment, ensuring Kathy experienced a full and beautiful life.

Mary pursued her studies in nutrition at Michigan State University and went on to work for 25 years at Visual Services, where she served as the coordinator of the art department. She was respected for her dedication, organization, and warm presence.

Her faith was central to her life. Mary attended Mass each morning at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, where she found strength in prayer and joy in the company of fellow parishioners. She faithfully prayed the Rosary daily for her family, holding each of them close in her heart.

Mary found happiness in the simple and beautiful moments of life. She loved music and playing the piano, tended her garden with care, and was known as a wonderful cook. She especially cherished hosting Christmas Eve gatherings each year, creating lasting traditions and memories for those she loved.

A true volunteer, Mary generously gave her time to many organizations, including the Christ Child Society, serving luncheons at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, the Birmingham Community Center senior men's lunches, and 50 Uppers. Her spirit of service touched countless lives.

Mary will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, deep faith, and unwavering love for her family and community. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Beloved wife of the late Robert for 45 years. Cherished mother of Timothy (Nikki) Ermatinger, Ann (Jeff) Magin, Susan (Chris) Fezzey-Nagle and the late Kathleen Ann Ermatinger. Loving grandmother of Amy Ermatinger, Lisa (Kyle) Dingman, Jennifer (J) Robb, Joshua Ermatinger, Brittney (Patrick) Welch, Melissa (Brian) Barnes, Mick (Lindsay) Magin, Sarah Magin, Sister Mary Cause of Our Joy, Emily Magin, Peter (Courtney) Fezzey, Jessica (Paul) Carollo, and Samuel (Marissa) Fezzey. Proud great grandmother of Ben, Cal, Wesley, Megan, Hailey, Blaise, Oliver, Parker, Sawyer, Juniper, Ezekiel, Zuri and Fisher.

Family will receive friends, Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 3:00 – 8:00PM with Rosary at 7:00PM at A. J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave., (btwn 13-14 Mile Rd.), Royal Oak, 48073, 248-549-0500.

Funeral Mass Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:30AM, at Our Lady Queen of Martyr's Catholic Church, 32340 Pierce, Beverly Hills. Visitation at Church begins at 10:00AM.
