Mary Sue Fairchild, 98, of Meridian, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on September 25th, 2025. She was born on October 29th, 1926, to Ernest “Rabbit” Daniels and Mary Etta Danner Rawson.
Mary Sue was a housewife for many years where she cooked many dishes, one of which she will especially be remembered for, her delicious dressing. She also enjoyed working in the yard and attending to her many plants inside and outside her home, one of her favorites being peace lilies.
A job opportunity came up to be able to be a Financial Secretary at Central Baptist, a job she loved so much. On top of being a Financial Secretary she also enjoyed working at the election polls. She was also a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church
Mary Sue is survived by her daughter, Penny McLemore (Dennis); her grandchildren, Kylee McLemore, Erin Barnes (Scotty), Angi Branstetter (Justin); Her Great Grandchildren, Macy Jones, Keaton Jones, Carson Jones, Mary Etta Barnes and Mabry Barnes. She is also remembered by her special friends, Dewey and Nancy Mayo, Jan Miller, Ann Bailey, and Glen Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George M Fairchild Sr, and her son, George M Fairchild Jr.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Trend Health and Rehab for their loving care of Mary Sue while she was in their care.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 6th, 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church at 10:00 Am. Bro. Mike Everett will officiate the service.
