Mary R. Ford

Mary R. Ford, 86, resident of Manalapan Township passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026. She was born in Manhattan and resided in the Oakwood Heights section of Staten Island, N.Y., where she raised her family with her husband John Ford, who passed away in 2010.

She was a beloved administrative assistant for Carmel Richmond Nursing Home in Staten Island for 30+ years before her retirement.

Mrs. Ford was an active parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord Church, Monroe Township and a woman of faith throughout her years.

She was an avid bowler and participated in several bowling leagues in Staten Island and New Jersey. She was a social butterfly and loved by her lifelong friends. Mary always looked forward to time with her family and sitting down with a good book and cup of tea.

Mary was a kind soul, and one who emulated grace.

Surviving are her children, Diane Montalto and husband Frank; John Ford and wife Alisyn, and Daniel Ford and wife Lisa; her grandchildren, Nicolas and wife Meghan, Brianna, Jessica, Ryan, Casey, and Dylan; a great grandson, Maxwell; and her brother Edward Boland.

The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday, February 18 from 3 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold on Thursday, February 19 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island.
