Mary Ann Sours Fox, age 75, of Culpeper, Virginia, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008 at her home in the early morning hours of her birthday with her family at her side. Mary Ann was born July 10, 1933 in Culpeper County, Virginia to the late Henry Elmer Sours and Maude Ellen Pullen Sours and worked for Aileen Manufacturing for over 30 years and then later for S.W.I.F.T. Bank until her retirement.

She loved working in her flower gardens, reading and doll collecting. Most of all, she loved playing with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and just spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, mother-in-law and friend to all who knew her. She never had an unkind word for anyone and gave freely of her heart and home to those in need.

Mary Ann was married for 56 years to her husband and best friend Charles Edward Fox, Sr. of Rappahannock County, Virginia; who passed away Thursday, February 16, 2006.

Mrs. Fox is survived by her four children, Shirley Coffey and her husband, Steve, of Stanardsville, Virginia, Debbie Ashbrook and her husband, Wayne, of Culpeper, Virginia, Charles E. Fox, Jr. (Chuck) and his wife, Brenda, of Culpeper, Virginia and Susan Feaganes and her husband, Kenny, of Culpeper, Virginia; nine grandchildren, Amy Woodward, Lorrie Maley, Lonnie (Willie) Myers, III and his wife, Amy, Edward (Eddie) Myers and his wife, Candance, Andrew N. Myers and his wife, Jen, Heather M. Myers, Kenny (Bogie) Feaganes, Jr., Robert (Rob) A. Fox and his wife, Christa and Karen A. Barnes and her husband, Charlie and 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Nellie M. Jenkins, of Culpeper, Virginia; sister-in-law, Betty Tyler, of Culpeper, Virginia; brother, Charles Sours (Honeyboy), of Madison, Virginia; aunt, Virginia Libao, of Seattle, Washington and many special nieces, nephews and cousins. A brother, James Jacob Sours and a sister, Katie also preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held in Clore English Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert A. Fox (her grandson) conducting the service. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Eddie Myers, Willie Myers, Andrew Myers, Kenny (Bogie) Feaganes, Jr., Kelly Maley, William Kennedy,Tom Pullen and Lonnie Myers, Jr.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 14, 2008 at Clore English Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the UVA Cancer Center, P.O. Box 800334, Charlottesville, Virginia 22908.
