She furthered her education at Mott Community College. Glenda married the love of her life, Charles D. Gibson Jr. on November 15, 1969, in Flint, Michigan. They were blessed with their son, Bradley, in 1973. Glenda worked as a teacher's aide in the Carman-Ainsworth school district. Glenda and Charles then moved to Tennessee in 1996. There, she taught at and retired from Lawrence County School District in 2012. She was a woman of faith and enjoyed reading her Bible and attending church.
