Mary Goral

Mary Goral of Matawan passed away on Sunday March 9, 2025 surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 91. Mary was born and raised in Jersey City, where she resided until moving to Matawan in 1996.
In addition to being a devoted wife to her late husband Anthony, who passed in 1983, she was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Mary spent many years working as a health care aid in St. Ann's Nursing Home in Jersey City.
A woman of immense faith, Mary was a devout Catholic. She enjoyed reading, taking long walks and she was a very social person. Mary could always be found conversing with her Jeresy City friends and neighbors when she was out on one of her daily walks around the neighborhood.
She is survived by her four sons, Teddy and his wife Carmen, Frank and his wife Karen, Walter and his wife Tracy, Anthony and his wife Joan. She will also be fondly remembered by her 10 Grandchildren and her 4 Great Grandchildren.
The funeral will be on Thursday from the John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Services Inc. 111 Main Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Lawrence Church located at 109 Laurence Parkway Laurence Harbor at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery North Arlington.
