Mary Jane Griffin

Mary Jane Griffin, 88, of Atchison, KS died on Sat. Dec. 6th, 2025, at her home unexpectedly. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, Dec. 19th, 2025, at St. Marks Lutheran Church with Rev. Dinah Dutta officiating. Burial will follow in the Brancome Cemetery, Kickapoo, KS. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday, Dec. 19th at St. Marks Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Mark's Lutheran Church and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home who is entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com. Mary Jane was born on Marh 28th, 1937 in Nearman, KS the daughter of Francis. W. and Virginia A. (Gilmore) Bouley. She graduated from Willis High School, Willis, KS in 1955, and moved to Atchison, KS where she lived the rest of her life. Mary Jane worked most of her career at Blish-Mize Company where she retired in 2009, after 39 years of service. She was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church since 1999.She enjoyed gardening, bowling, softball, bingo, doll collecting, crocheting and frequent trips to the casino. She loved her family and was proud of each and everyone. Her true passion in life was helping others, she was the primary caregiver for her grandmother, parents, other relatives and numerous friends late in their lives. Mary Jane was married to Raymond Robert Griffin on June 30, 1957, at Willis Christian Church. He preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 2011. Survivors include her three children, two sons Robert Griffin, Atchison, KS, Edward Griffin and wife Sheila, Fort Worth, TX, and a daughter Pamela Griffin, Atchison, KS, two grandsons Jason and Benjamin Griffin and one granddaughter Kristen Griffin, three great grandchildren Gabe Tipton, John Livingston, and Natalie Griffin, and two great great grandchildren Emberlyn Livingston and Weslin Tipton and a brother Raymond Bouley, Cheyenne, WY and sister Virginia Old, Bonner Springs, KS. Her parents, husband and two sisters Betty Powers, and Frances Jeffrey preceded her in death.
