Theodore K. Johnson, 87, of Weston, MO, passed away in his home, surrounded by loved ones, Sunday, December 7, 2025
Funeral services will be 10:00AM Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, with Rev. Keith Hoover officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushville, MO. The Family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the funeral home.
Ted was born June 1st, 1938, in Atchison, KS, the son of William Roy and Ester (Hughes) Johnson. He was raised on a family farm near Rushville, MO. He married Reona Winzer, October 3rd. 1965 in Atchison, KS. Ted and Reona went on to raise three children on the farm before moving to Weston, MO in 2011. He was a lifelong farmer, retiring in 2015. Ted served in the United States Army with the 1st Brigade, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, starting as a radio repairman, and eventually moving to HHC. Ted was a member of the Rushville Masonic Lodge, serving over 5O years as a Master Mason. He was involved in many community organizations throughout the years.
Survivors include two daughters, Cyndi Hamilton, Weston, MO and Jennifer (Chris) Johnson, Liberty, MO; a brother, David Johnson, Weston, MO; grandchildren, Tara and Taylor Johnson, Kyle (Katy), Miranda, Luke, and Aiden Hamilton; Nicolas and Noah Johnson. Three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Molly, and Skyler. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Theodore K. "Teddy" Johnson; brothers, Robert, James, and Leroy Johnson; and sister, Royce Searcy.
