Mary A. Guth, 81, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 12:20 pm on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at her residence.

She was born on January 19, 1944, in Mount Vernon, IL, to Jewel M. and Kathryn (Koehler) Summers. She married Merle C. Guth on January 19, 2013 in Goodfield, IL.

Surviving are her husband, Merle of Metamora; children, Evan Summers of Portland, OR, Denise (Dennis) Beck of Rock Falls, IL, Debbie (Thomas) Anderson of WI, Deanne Pinter of MI, and Dana Sester of Oswego, IL; step-children, Matthew (Kim) Guth of Metamora, IL and Lisa Orlandaini of Fort Madison, IA; fourteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Berneice Skotnicki and Evelyn Liesse, and brother, Ron Summers.

Mary received her Associate’s Degree as an LPN and had worked at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her flower gardens, selling antiques, and spending time with her family.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, December 5, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until mass time at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Metamora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Reclaimed Resale, 407 East Mt. Vernon Street, Metamora, IL 61548 or to the A.R.K. Humane Society, 477 IL-26, Lacon, IL 61540.
