Mary Anne Hamlett, 98, of Lynchburg Virginia passed away January 22, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Edward Hylton and Mary Howell Hylton. She was the wife of the late Garland Moon Hamlett.
Mary was born December 31, 1926, in Floyd, Virginia. She was a long-time employee of General Electric and a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
Mary is survived by 5 grandchildren, Carlton Brooks (Gwen) of Madison Heights, Chris Scott (Kara), Angie Curran, Paula Deberny (Denis) all of Lynchburg and Brent Scott of Evington, 10 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband Mary was preceded in death by her 5 sisters, and her children Judy Pouyan, Faye Wells and Morris Hamlett.
A visitation will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 11 A.M. at Heritage Baptist Church (219 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg). A funeral service will follow immediately after, beginning at 12 P.M. with Pastor Rod Kidd officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
