Mary Jane Hamming

Mary Hamming, age 88, of Hudsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 30, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Purcell "Perk" Hamming; son-in-law Rick Bosch; brothers, Jim Meyers, Harv Meyers, Alvin Meyers, Bob Meyers. She is survived by her children, Pat Bosch, Steve and Nikki Hamming, Kerry and Dee Hamming, Jana and Ben Van Enk; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Jean Elzinga, Paul and Barb Meyers, Shirley and John Moored; brother-in-law, Phil and Marcia Hamming. Mary taught by example, living a life of love for the Lord, her husband, family, faithfulness and quiet servanthood. She showed her love with acts of kindness and service, especially involving food. She loved to spend time outdoors, caring for her flowers and garden. She enjoyed cooking and looking through cookbooks, watching sports, Fox News, and Wheel of Fortune. She selflessly cared for her husband with Parkinsons's for several years. She lived independently in her own home until the end of her life of 88 years. A memorial service for Mary will be held on Sunday, September 7, at 6:00 P.M. at Grace Community Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service at Grace Community Church on Sunday from to 5 to 6 P.M. and following the service from 7 to 8 P.M.
