Mary Harvey McMahon Haughney, 98, of Oil City, PA., passed away Wednesday Nov. 26, 2025 at UPMC-Northwest in Seneca.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA., on June 9, 1927, daughter of the late Daniel J. and Nellie Cavanaugh Harvey.

Mary graduated from Mercyhurst College in 1949.

She was a school teacher in Randolph , NY and Pleasantville, PA., before becoming a homemaker.

She was married to Edward P. McMahon on Feb. 2, 1952 in St. Joseph Church, by the late Fr. Otto Pisoni and he preceded her in death on July 23, 1995.

Mary later married Richard J. Haughney at St. Jude's Church in Erie, PA. on Oct. 5, 2002 and he preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 2013.

Mary was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

She was also a member of the Mercyhurst Alumni Association.

Mary enjoyed traveling and reading.

She is survived by seven children and their spouses

Ashleigh, and Kenny, Caitlin and Mike, Danielle, Andrew and Lauren, Mary and Nick, William,

Brian and Ang, Nicole and Chad, Justin and Megan, Andrea and Sean, Brennan and Mary, Gabby, Aiden, Bailey and Will.

Several great grandchildren also survive

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her son Edward McMahon, daughter Clara Winger and her husband William and granddaughter Casey.

Friends will be received from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 a.m. Saturday Dec. 6 in St. Joseph Church

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M in St. Joseph Church on Saturday with Fr. Daniel Hoffman, Presiding.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church improvement Fund.
