Mary Ann Hecox, 68, of Sulphur, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, one day after her 68th birthday. Born on July 13, 1957, in Janesville, Wisconsin, to Jeanette (Lamphier) and John Karman, Mary lived a life marked by deep love and devotion to her family. In her youth, Mary moved from Wisconsin to Florida, where she completed her education and met the love of her life, Terrence Edward Hecox. They married in 1977 and built a life grounded in commitment and care until his passing. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Terrence Edward Hecox; her beloved son, Terrence Edward Hecox II; her brother, Charles J. Homan; and brothers-in-law Robert Severance Sr. and Kenneth Patrick Butler. She is survived by her loving children: Tessa Jeanette Pauline Hecox Gillin and her husband Dan; Michael John Paul Hecox; and Victoria Nichole Hecox. She was a devoted grandmother to Bella Grayson Ashby, Liam Andrew Gilin, and Elizabeth Rynlee Ann Hecox. Mary also leaves behind her sisters: Charlene Faye Severance and Margaret Sue Butler; as well as nieces and nephews: Lynda Klotz (Lathon), Robert Severance Jr. (Tracy), Erica Bloem (John), Ashley Danielle McLeroy (Christopher), and Ryan Cameron Butler. Mary found joy in her family, cherished memories of her childhood in Wisconsin, and the enduring bonds she shared with those she loved..
