Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes & Cremation Services - Clintonville ChapelMary Elizabeth Hill passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. She was 79 years old. Mary was born on August 13, 1946, in Union, South Carolina. Mary was the beloved daughter of Frank and Catherine Hill. Raised in a close-knit family, she carried the values instilled in her youth throughout her life with grace and strength.
Mary was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Larry Eugene Dandridge; her parents, Frank and Catherine Hill; her sister Laura Thompson and her husband Fredrick Thompson; and her brother Daniel Hill. Their memories remained dear to her heart.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters: Dawn Renae Powell, Kim Lynette Adams-Butler, and Michelle Elizabeth Dandridge.
Her legacy continues through her grandsons Christopher James Powell, Kevin Lamont Powell, and Jordan Aaron Dandridge, as well as her great-granddaughter Na’zyia Haven Powell. Mary is also survived by her brother David Hill and his wife Kay Hill; sister Linda Marie Jackson and her husband Ules P. Jackson Jr.; and nieces and nephews Sonya Denise Hill, Donae Cornelius Damien Jerome Hill-Smth, Herone J. Shaw II, Joy Leah Johnson, and Ules Benaiah Jackson.
Her life was a testament to quiet strength and enduring love for family. Mary’s presence brought warmth to every gathering and helped nurture bonds that spanned generations.
A Prayer Service will be held on December 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Road. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
