Mary Maxine Hudson

Mary Maxine Hudson, age 92, passed away July 25, 2025. She was born on October 27, 1932 to George J. and Suma Ethal Himes in Grapevine, Texas. She was raised in Euless, Texas and graduated from Euless High School in 1951, where she was in the Glee Club and a member of the High School Cardinalettes.

Maxine married her husband, Warren George Hudson "Red", of 42 years on February 7, 1953. She was employed by the Corpus Christi Independent School District. She was a loving Mother, sister, aunt and cousin, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved Jesus and always put Jesus 1st in everything she did.

She will always be remembered for her devotion to her family. She was a very tough, hard working woman, who rarely complained and always trusted God and His Will! She lived her life to the fullest right up to the end, and there wasn't anything she wouldn't have done for her family.

Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, George and Suma Himes; husband of 42 years, Warren George Hudson "Red"; a son, Charles Ray Hudson; brothers, George Marvin Himes, Billy Ray Himes, and Carl C. Himes; a sister, Edna Marie Newman; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Louise Himes.

Left to cherish her memories are a son, Steve W. (Debbie) Hudson of Sandia, TX; daughter, Mary Kay (Joe) Cole, of Indiana; Grandchildren, Steve W. Jr. (Suzanne) Hudson of Corpus, Jennifer Megan (Patric) Hudson, of Illinois, Meryk M. Hudson, Kearstyn Mae Garcia Munoz (Wesley) of Corpus, Kallyn Warren Garcia of Corpus; Jessica Cole (Matt) of Indiana, Joey Cole (Coleen) of Indiana, Amber Nicole Hudson, Texas; and Jason Charles Hudson, TX; brother, Berl D. Himes (Lell) Longview, TX; and nieces: Helen Himes, Corpus; Susan Mangan of Longview and many more family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4-9PM on Thursday, July 31st at Seaside Funeral Home with a Funeral Service the following day, Friday, August 1st also at Seaside Funeral Home, with Interment at Seaside Memorial Park.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are: Steve Hudson Jr., Kallyn W. Garcia, Chris Garcia, Wesley Munoz, Alex Rodriguez and Gabe Muniz. Honorary pallbearers: Ryan Schaper and Steve Hudson Sr.
