Mary Evelyn Weaver Hundt returned home to her family and Heavenly Father on September 23, 2025, with her loving and dedicated husband by her side. She was 86 years old. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at Scott Funeral Home in Muenster at 9:30 AM on Saturday, September 27, 2025 before the Mass. She was born on November 25, 1938, in Borger, Texas, to her late parents, Willie Lee Weaver and Marie Friemel Weaver. She had two older sisters, Rita Marlane Weaver and Diannah Parker, and one younger sister, Delila Caddell. Mary attended Frank Phillips College in Borger and graduated from The University of Dallas Catholic University in Irving, Texas, with a B.A. degree in Secondary Education in Biology and History. After graduating she taught middle school Science in Catholic schools for a number of years. Mary married David Joseph Hundt on August 3, 1968, and spent her remaining years focused on raising her three children, Elaine Denise, Karen Marie, and Michael Jason Christopher, participating in many of their extracurricular activities, including Religious Education, Girl Scouts, dance, band, and sports, and volunteering her time to many ministries both at church and in the community. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, David, her children Elaine Denise Hundt Nolting (Mike), Karen Marie Hundt Wise (Lee), and Michael Jason Christopher Hundt (Jenny), her grandchildren Joshua, Sarah, and Michael Nolting, Alexis Cunningham and Christian Wise, and Michael Winn, Madalyn and Matthew Hundt, and her great grandchild Ivy Cunningham. Those who knew Mary will remember her for her love and faithfulness to the Lord, her dedication to her prayer life, commitment and devotion to her family, her generosity, her love of playing Skip-Bo, Uno, and dominos with her loved ones, and her knowledge and passion for nature, river rafting, camping, rock collecting, music, attending plays and movies, and watching her favorite shows on TV. Mostly, she loved her family fiercely and completely, and there was nothing she wouldn't do for them.
