Valerie A. (Breden) Hundt, aged 72, passed away on July 22, 2025, in her hometown of Elkhart, Indiana. Born on February 22, 1953. Valerie's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, laughter, and a spirited zest for life that touched everyone in her life.
Valerie dedicated many years to her career as a dental hygienist, where she brought comfort and care to her patients with a warm smile and gentle touch. Her colleagues remember her as a dedicated professional who brightened the days of those she worked with.
Beyond her professional life, Valerie was a feisty and loving person who embraced her role as a grandmother with unparalleled joy. Her grandchildren, Salone Perkins, Aubrae Good, Griffin Hundt, and Quinn Hundt, were the light of her life. She was known to be a kid at heart, always ready to share a laugh, jump in the bouncy house, or embark on an adventure. Her handmade crocheted blankets and animals are cherished heirlooms, woven with the love and care that she poured into every stitch.
Valerie's husband, Charles Hundt, Sr., was her partner in both love and life's journeys. Together, they explored the country in their RV during the winter months, creating memories in every corner of the landscape they traversed. Her sons, Tim Good and Anthony Good, along with her stepchildren Chuck (Susan) Hundt and Danielle (Dale) Manczunski, will carry forward her legacy of love and spirited energy.
Her brothers, William Breden, the late Robert Breden, Paul (Cindy) Breden, Matt (Kelly) Breden, and Daniel Breden, will forever hold Valerie's memory in their hearts, remembering her as the feisty, spunky, and loving sister who enriched their lives in countless ways.
Valerie's affection for all animals was well-known, and she often extended her nurturing spirit to the many creatures she encountered. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
In honor of her love for animals those wishing to make a memorial donation in honor of Valerie have been asked to consider World Wildlife Fund, 1250 24th Street NW, Washington, DC 20037.
