I am so terribly sad to learn of Mary Hurtt's passing. We worked together many years ago at Dillard's dept store. We both worked in the housewares dept and she would demonstrate many of our appliances. For example she demonstrated a new popcorn maker we had by making popcorn, and the people flocked to see where that wonderful smell was coming from. She would talk about it and end up selling many of the machines! Every time I was depressed or hurt over one problem of another she would pray with me and encourage me.
God bless you Mary Hartt, there are no others like you! Rest in Heaven

Thank God up there Mary Ellen will hurt no more. Shouting on the hills of glory will be full with joy. The way I know Mary Ellen Hurtt earned her wings is the Legacy of her family, her children and grandchildren. There is strength, love, courage and so many beautiful qualities in these people. I thank my friend´s Mother and Grandmother for bringing up a family of people i hold dear. To the surviving family i thank you for finding love and for all you have done. With each tear may you be washed with comfort and a clearing brightness.
