Mary Jane Walker Hollifield, 86, of Ellenboro, died Saturday, July 12, 2025.
She was the daughter of the late Stennett and Sylvia Justice Walker. Mary Jane was a faithful, longtime member of Walls Baptist Church. She retired from North Carolina Department of Transportation.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Hollifield; her sons, Edgar Hollifield and his wife Rita, Tommy Hollifield and his wife Cynthia Panowicz, and Doyle Hollifield and his wife Tristan, all of Bostic; her grandchildren, Emily Bump, Joseph Hollifield, James Hollifield, and Blake Reynolds; there are 3 great grandchildren, Zoe Bump, Bella Bump and Silas Bump.
The Funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Walls Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry Causby will officiate and Dwight Hollifield will provide a eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers Randy Hollifield, Andy Hollifield, Gary Dodgen, Charles Carpenter, Jeremiah McCluney, and Roger Hollifield. Honorary pallbearers Keith Hollifield, Steve Hollifield, Phil Dodgen, Justin McCluney, and James Carpenter.
The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Tuesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Walls Baptist Church, 749 Walls Church Road, Bostic, NC 28018.
