Mary Jo (Haldorson) Morgan

Age 70 years of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, and formerly of Wilmington, Illinois, passed away at her residence on January 25, 2026.

Born on July 21, 1955, in Joliet, Illinois, Mary Jo was a daughter of John and Phyllis (Hannum) Haldorson.

Mary Jo was the former dietary aide at Aperion Care Center in Wilmington and retired in 2025. Her commitment to her work reflected her natural ability to nurture and support those around her. She had a special place in her heart for the elderly and never hesitated to extend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Born into a musically inclined family, Mary Jo was an outstanding singer and recalled one of her fondest memories from childhood as taking part in The Nutcracker in Chicago.

Mary Jo is survived by her loving husband, Dave Morgan, aunts and uncle: Fran Hannum of Arizona, Ralph (Lela) Haldorson of Wilmington and Margaret Haldorson of Elgin, Illinois, and numerous cousins.

Cremation rites have been accorded and family and friends will gather at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
