Mary Gwendolyn Johnson, 86, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 31, 2025. She was born on January 20, 1939, in Summit, Mississippi, to Elmer and Bernell Moak.

Gwen was the devoted wife of the late Jeryl L. Johnson, with whom she shared a long and happy marriage. Together, they built a family rooted in love, faith, and kindness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Bernell Moak, her brother Delton Moak, and her beloved son, Christopher Moak Johnson.

Gwen was a faithful member of Memorial Baptist Church of Hot Springs, where she joyfully served for many years as a pianist, sharing her gift of music and her love for worship. She was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and lived out her faith daily through her love for her family and others.

She was a wonderful homemaker who found joy in cooking and creating a warm, welcoming home. She loved cheering on her Arkansas Razorbacks, and her laughter, warmth, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Gwen is survived by her children: Kyla and RJ Dunn, Kaylie Jones and Terry Walston, and CJ and Hailey Johnson. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Tyler and Amanda Ward of Hot Springs, Anthony McClain of Hot Springs, Chelese Johnson of Hot Springs, and Spencer Dunn of Hot Springs, as well as many great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. And many beloved family members and friends.

Gwen's legacy of love, faith, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 9:00-10:00 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home at 155 Section Line Road, Hot Springs, AR with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at Hot Springs Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 2868 Airport Rd, Hot Springs, AR. Alex Brown to be officiating.

Pallbearers are CJ Johnson, Tyler Ward, Anthony McClain, and Spencer Dunn.
