Mary Johnson Obituary
Mary was born in Pana, Illinois on Wednesday, January 13, 1954 the daughter of Garrett Benjamin and Martha Mary (maiden name Matuszyk) Johnson. She was raised in Pana attending Sacred Heart School and Pana High School, graduating with the Class of 1972. She previously worked for George's Candy Shop, Mallory Timers, and the State of Illinois where she retired after over 20 years as a Technology Specialist. Mary enjoyed Family Genealogy and was known to have a "green thumb." She will be remembered as a very loving Aunt and Grandmother. Mary was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana, Illinois and was an ardent supporter of Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.
Mary is survived by her Son: Chris Johnson of Pana; Grandson: Tim Johnson of Pana; Granddaughter: Hollie Johnson of Nashville, Tennessee; Brother: Garrett (Jan) Johnson of Petersburg, Illinois; Sister: Joyce Beggs of Decatur, Illinois; and Nieces: Sarah and Maria. She is preceded in death by her Parents and Sister: Nancy Michael.
The family is being served by Kennedy & Sons, Pana, Illinois.
