Mary Kay Robertson, 77, passed away on October17, 2025, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born June 25, 1948 in Yakima, WA to Mary Jane and Frank Luther and joined 3 years later by her brother, Richard. Mary Kay was raised in Portland, OR and graduated from Reynolds High School in 1966. During this period she developed many lifelong friendships. She attended the University of Oregon for two years before transferring to Oregon State and graduating in Elementary Education. After graduation she taught school at Fairview Elementary School in the Reynolds school district. In 1973 she married Don and they shared 52 happy years together. After getting married Mary Kay had 3 children and was a stay at home mother for several years. When the children were older she went back to teaching at Ellsworth Elementary School in the Evergreen school district, making many more lasting friendships. Family was priority to Mary Kay. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, holiday gatherings and activities, and many trips to Hawaii and Sunriver.

Mary Kay is survived by her husband, Don; daughters, Kimberly Thompson (Jonathan) and Melissa Sherman (Brandon); her son, Donnie Robertson (Melissa); her grandchildren, Emily, Miles, and Sara Thompson and Hailey, Sophie, and Jackson Sherman; her brother, Richard Luther; her nieces, Laura and Natalie Luther; her sister in law, Sandra Windust; and nephews, Jason and Eric Windust.

A funeral will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on November 6th at 12:30 p.m.
