Donald Charles Morse

Donald Charles Morse, 91, passed away on October 19, 2025, in Hines, Oregon.
Born on March 10, 1934, in Chicago Illinois, Donald was the only child of Charles and Vivian Morse. As a teenager, he moved to Los Angeles, where he attended University High School in the Los Angelos City High School District.
From 1053 to 1957, Donald served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Mountain Home, Idaho, where he met his beloved wife of 66 years. Following his military service, Donald returned to Los Angelos where he attended Los Angelos City College, earning and Associate of Arts Degree.
In 1959 he married Betty Hawley and moved to Eugene, to attend the University of Oregon. They raised a family and lived in Eugene until 2023. During that time Donald worked as an industrial designerfor Carother's & Sons LTD, sheet metal manufacturing and Later for Bohemia Lumber Company. He was a creative, innovative thinker and made significant contributions in his field.
Donald was an avid gardener taking pride in his beautifully landscaped yard and bountiful vegetable garden. He also loved the outdoors finding great joy in hunting and fishing with his sons and grandchildren. He especially loved spending time on the water peacefully rowing his boat.
Donald is survived by his wife Betty Morse; daughter Rebecca Hildebrand; sons Kenneth Morse and Daniel Morse; 6 grandchildren; and one great grandson.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on October 31, 2025, at Rest Haven Memorial Park and Funeral Home. 3900 Willamette Street, Eugene, Oregon 97405.
In remembrance of Donald's life, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Associaton.
