Mary Kinman Obituary
Published by Legacy on Oct. 3, 2025.
Mary Alice Kinman, 90, of West Monroe, LA, passed peacefully from this life on September 9, 2025. She was born on April 10, 1935, and for nearly a century, she blessed the lives of everyone she met with her laughter, love, and unwavering faith.
A devoted member of The Pentecostals of the Twin Cities for almost 60 years, Mary Alice faithfully served her church and community. She taught the 11-year-old Sunday school class for 35 years, shaping countless young lives with the Word of God. Her love for teaching extended beyond her local church as she traveled to lead Sunday school seminars, sharing her knowledge and passion with others across the state.
Mary Alice also ministered in nursing homes, alongside her 4 children, where they sang joyfully and encouraged residents that their lives still held purpose and meaning. She contributed inspirational writings to several Pentecostal publications, leaving behind words of encouragement and faith that will continue to inspire generations.
When her church started small groups, Mary Alice jumped onboard and at age 87 started one herself. She opened her home each month for a gathering that became a cherished time of fellowship. She shared heartfelt devotions, and with the help of friends, they always had snacks while laughter filled the room. Together, the group not only grew spiritually but also made a difference-raising over $1,000 for missions. This simple gathering reflected her heart: faith, fellowship, generosity, and love.
Mary Alice will be remembered for her boundless love, her gift of encouragement, and her ability to bring laughter into every room she entered. Truly, there will never be another one like her.
