Mary Knipp Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Inc. - Morehead on Feb. 9, 2026.
Mary Andrea "Ann" Parker Knipp, age 79, of Buffalo Branch, Morehead, went to her heavenly home peacefully on Saturday morning, February 7, 2026.

Born May 15, 1946, in Haldeman, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Elwood Parker and Vada Joyce Cartee Parker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Edward Parker and Richard Alan Parker.

Ann is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Austin Orville Knipp, whom she married August 1, 1964; her beloved children, Margaret Joyce Knipp, John Alan Knipp, Austin Edward Knipp and Amber, Joy Elizabeth Knipp Courter and Tim, all of Morehead, Kentucky; her cherished 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous special nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Ann worked for many years as a clerk typist with United Telephone in Mansfield, Ohio. Deeply devoted to her family, she found joy in homemaking, quilting, sewing, baking, and reading. She especially loved tending to her backyard bird feeders and watching the many beautiful visitors-especially the cardinals. Above all else, Ann's greatest happiness came from the time she spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched with love and quiet devotion.

A member of the United Baptist Church since 1980, she has been a faithful member of the Lebanon Baptist Church in Morgan County since 2005.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Sammie Reed, Elder Harlan Barnett, Elder Louis Baier, and Elder Rob Baier officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery (10 Clifty Church Road, Olive Hill, KY 41464) with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation for Mary Andrea "Ann" Parker Knipp will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
