Mary Metrejean Landry, 81, a resident of Stephensville, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 4, 2025, at Ochsner St. Mary, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born October 14, 1943, in Pierre Part, the daughter of Saraphine Metrejean and Clothilde Aucoin Metrejean.

Mary was known for her warm spirit and her ability to bring everyone together. She had a special touch when it came to baking pies, especially during the holidays, where her delicious creations were a beloved centerpiece at family gatherings. Sundays were spent with loved ones, enjoying monthly lunch traditions that filled her home with laughter and love. A woman of deep faith, Mary found solace and joy in reading her Bible and attending church, where her compassion for others shone brightly. Her heart was as big as her love for bingo, pokino, and, of course, the Hallmark Channel. Mary’s enthusiasm for life and her unwavering support for those around her made her a cherished presence in the lives of many.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her four children, Perry Landry and wife Lee Anne of Stephensville, Pauline Landry Morgan and husband Danny of Watson, Faron Landry and wife Meryl of Pierre Part, and Loretta Landry Duval of Stephensville; 8 grandchildren, Joseph “Joey” Morgan and wife Maria, Mallory Morgan, Kayla Landry, Michael Chauvin and companion Danielle Spears, Amy Morgan Thompson and husband Chris, Jeremy “J.J.” Duval, Mayah Landry, Brittney Duval; 6 great-grandchildren Elizabeth “Lizzie” Landry, Emma Morgan, Dane Thompson, Colton Morgan, Lydia Thompson and Piper Morgan; like a sister, Dorothy Giroir and Rosella Falcon.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Michael “Mike” Landry; parents, Saraphine and Clothilde Metrejean; siblings, Eve Marie St Germain and Wilbert “Duke” Metrejean

Pallbearers will be Perry Landry, , Jeremy “J.J.” Duval, , Michael Chauvin, and Chris Thompson. Joseph “Joey” Morgan and Heath Gros; honorary Faron Landry and Danny Morgan.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Morgan City and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Morgan City with Reveron Tracey Smith officiating; Amy Thompson and Kayla Landry will be doing the readings, and Bethany Crochet Ratcliff will begin and end the service in a song. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the First Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. After service, Mary will be laid to rest in the Morgan Cemetery with her husband, Mike. After graveside services, friends and family are welcome back to the First Baptist fellowship hall for a meal.
