Mary E. Langell

Beloved psychologist, mother, and wife, Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Langell, passed away at the age of 73 on July 22nd, 2025 at Pascack Valley Medical Center. Born in New Rochelle, New York on September 4th, 1951, Liz graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School with numerous accolades and, after many years of rigorous study, earned her doctorate at Texas Tech University. Highly dedicated to her work as a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist, Liz had aided numerous patients in her 30+ years in practice. She had most notably worked with patients at New York's Beth Israel Medical Center, the East Orange VA Medical Center, and in her own private practice. Liz additionally spent several years teaching and supervising doctoral students at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Though she greatly enjoyed her work, Liz was also fond of reading (accumulating an extensive personal library), traveling, listening to rock music, and playing with her pet dogs and cats over the years. Left behind and remembering her are her husband, Joseph D'Eletto, daughter, Lauren D'Eletto-Langell, and sister, Veronica Shaw. Liz will be immortalized in memory for her unending empathy and compassion, free spirited yet grounded nature, and boundless love for her loved ones. A memorial service celebrating her will take place at the Volk Leber Funeral Home on July 26th, 2025 at 12pm.
