Mary Lee Obituary
Mary Alice was born, December 6, 1950, in Emerson, Arkansas. She was the first woman hired as a welder at the Steel Mill in Columbia County, loved to hunt and trap wild game with her dad and sister, and attended Macedonia Baptist Church when living in Columbia County.
Mary Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Arlis Harvey Lee and Ida Mae (Lindsey) Lee; son Michael Rushing; and three sisters, Vickie Gaines and her husband Cecil, Dorothy Butler and husband Wayne, and Wanda Hurd and husband Herbert.
Mary Alice is survived by her two sons, Harold Rushing and wife Bernadine of Brockwell, Arkansas, Donald Barge and Laura Ebey of Magnolia, Arkansas; three daughters, Mary Ann Wilhite, of Pensacola, Florida, Rebecca Williams of Covington, Louisiana, and Barbara Cassidy and husband Stacy of Magnolia, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jessica, Austin, Heather, Alex, Ember, Tyler, Cody, Ashley, Taylor, Cassidy, Susan, Bree, Shelby, and Dalton; two sisters, Sara Watson and husband Talmadge of Waldo, Arkansas, Bonnie House and husband Ed of Camden; and a host of great grandchildren and extended family.
Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 pm with Bro. Petie Ward officiating. Interment will be at Beech Creek Cemetery in Waldo, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Watson, Brandon Watson, Donnie Barge, and Harold Rushing.
