Our hearts are heavy as we share the news of the peaceful passing of Mary Louise Lesner (Reed) on August 17, 2024, in Mountain Home, Idaho. Born on May 10, 1938, growing up in the charming town of Chelsea, South Dakota, Mary brought warmth and kindness into the lives of everyone she met.
Mary was the beloved sixth daughter of Henry and Margret Reed. She married her true love, Donald J. Lesner, with whom she shared a remarkable 62 years of laughter, love, and countless cherished memories. Together, they built a wonderful life filled with travel, love and adventure.
She was a devoted homemaker, wife, and mother, dedicating herself fully to her family. Her sweet and gentle nature made her home a sanctuary for her loved ones. Mary was the loving mother to three daughters, Michelle Boothe, Susan Thompson, and DeAnn Weber. Her legacy of love and compassion continues through her granddaughter, Jenna Thompson, with whom she shared a special bond, often crafting and creating beautiful memories together.
Mary had a passion for cross-stitch, spending countless hours bringing intricate patterns to life. She also enjoyed losing herself in a good novel, finding joy in the worlds within pages. Her talents extended to crafting, and she found immense pleasure in sharing these creative moments with her granddaughter.
Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, Mary's spirit remains with us, woven into the fabric of our lives like the delicate stitches she so lovingly crafted. Her legacy of love, kindness, and creativity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
