Mary Sandra Link

Mary Sandra Link, age 84, of Higgins Lake, died on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at her home in the presence and comfort of her family.

Mary was born April 24, 1941, in Roscommon, Michigan, the daughter of LaVern H. and Laura O. (Richardson) Williams.

Mary was married to Robert Roy Link of Reese, Michigan, on October 6, 1962.

Mary and Robert made their home in Roscommon, then later moved to Higgins Lake, where they raised their 3 children. Mary used her beautiful singing voice to travel to many events; she loved using her talent. Her singing brought her great joy and was a blessing to those around her. She was an avid book collector and enjoyed reading her Bibles. She was a member of the Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church. Mary worked as a nurse in long-term care for many years. She then served as the Gerrish Township ACT NOW Executive Board Chair from 2007 to 2018, and as a Township Trustee for 12 years. She volunteered and continued to serve and to help others. Mary loved all her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed.

Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Roy Link; daughters, Robin Lynn Link (Steve) of Higgins Lake, Michigan, and Holly Diane Ross (Chuck) of Yellville, Arkansas; son, Robert Joel Link (Debbi) of Morehead, Kentucky.

Mary was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, LaVern and Laura Williams, her sisters and their spouses, Bernice and Alan Tulk, and Barbara and Robert DeWitt.

Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, for a visitation with a remembrance tribute in Mary's honor, starting at 7:30 pm at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.

If so desired, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in Mary's name to ACT NOW, the organization that was very special to her heart.
