MaryLouise (Reimondo) Mahlmeister, Frankenmuth, MI. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 14, 2025 at the age of 95 years. MaryLou was born on January 3, 1930 in Buffalo, NY to the late Alphonse and Marcella (Pauly) Reimondo. She graduated from Mt. St. Joseph Academy in Buffalo, NY. She married the love of her life, Donald Mahlmeister on June 14, 1952. He predeceased her in 1990.
MaryLou enjoyed more than anything being a grandma and was fondly known as "Gee" to her grandchildren and many friends. MaryLou (along with her husband Don) enjoyed volunteering in her community. Over the years, she served as a member of Blessed Trinity's altar society, the newcomer's club, the Frankenmuth Historical society and was a member of the Frankenmuth Women's Club. She was involved in the Civic Events Council for over a decade greeting buses, bartending and chaired the Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival parade twice.
For more than 25 years after Donald passed away, MaryLou spent her winters in Panama City Beach, FL. Her favorite place was Noah's Ark. She enjoyed spending time there with friends, working at their front desk, and being a part of their Christian Ministries.
MaryLou was mother to five children. Surviving her are her children Daniel (Judy) Mahlmeister, Michael Mahlmeister, Thomas Mahlmeister, and Susan (David) Slivinski. Her grandchildren Katie (Daryl) Simmons, Justin Mahlmeister, Nicholas Mahlmeister, Sarah (Matthew) Greenan, Jessica Hadaway, Aaron ( fiancé Amanda) Slivinski and Rachel (Jesse) Rangel. MaryLou especially loved spending time with her great-grandchildren Delaney Greenan, Lindyn Greenan, Valorie Rangel and Gabriel Rangel.
MaryLou was predeceased by a daughter, Diane, who died at age 9.
Although MaryLou was an only child, she always referred to her cousins Dorothy DeMarie, Bernadette McKeon & Lenoir Randall as her life-long sisters. She loved them all very much.
Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola St. Frankenmuth, MI. Fr. Patrick Jankowiak will officiate. MaryLou's family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
