born on February 24, 1930, in Rockland, MA, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose love for her family was the cornerstone of her life.

Mary was married to the late Ernest Marinaro, Sr., together they brought joy and warmth to their family. Mary's pride and joy were her children, Ernest Marinaro, Jr. and his wife Elaine and Robert D. Marinaro and his wife Renee. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Mark V. Marinaro and Lindsey Mather, along with her great-grandchildren, Mila and Mason Mather, who filled her years with laughter and love.

In addition to being a dedicated family member, Mary found immense joy in her hobbies, notably sewing, which she did with both skill and passion. Her dedication to her craft was evident not only in the beautiful pieces she created but also in the loving care she poured into every stitch.

Mary was proud of those she loved and spent her life nurturing and supporting them. She will be remembered for her caring spirit and the countless memories she created for her family.

Mary is survived by her brother, Guido Alesio of Melbourne, FL, who remains a vital part of her legacy. She joins in eternal rest the beloved members of her family who have preceded her: her parents, Hugo and Louise (Notaro) Alesio; her brothers, Alfred, Albert, and Frederick Alesio; and her sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" McCauley and Ann Wohlen.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 8:30am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Road, Narragansett. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Home, 1 St. Elizabeth Way, East Greenwich, RI 02818.
