Mary Margaret Marr

Mary Margaret Marr, 83, lovingly referred to as Nana, of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully on November 5th, 2025. After a brave battle with dementia and lung cancer Nana is now in the arms of her Savior.

Nana was a proud Christian who looked forward with hope and peace to the day she would meet Jesus face-to-face. Though her family grieves her passing, they take comfort knowing she is now with her savior and reunited with her beloved son, Mitchell Marr, who passed away in January, and her father, John Sebastian McGuire.

Nana loved to laugh and never missed a chance to crack a joke. What she loved she loved in a big way. Perhaps best exemplified in her love for food, she never missed out on a meal with friends or family, or maybe through her impressive collection of hundreds of pig figurines, pictures, and trinkets that filled her home. Whether it was a ceramic pig or a handmade gift from a friend, each one had a story and a place of honor in her home.

Unforgettably, she loved most her son Mitchell and her two grandchildren Geoffrey and Magen who filled her heart with love and joy that was only surpassed by her dog, Missy (AKA "The Goat"), her constant comfort and companion.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her faith, laughter, and love will continue to echo in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A celebration of her life will be held at Black Forest Bible Church (8899 Black Forest Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80908) on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 at 1pm.
