Mary Beth Mazza, 66, of Houston, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, in the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, with her family by her side. She was born May 9, 1958, in Sewickley, a daughter of the late John and Rose Takach Dancu. Mary Beth was a 1976 graduate of Moon Area High School and a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish, Meadow Lands. Mary Beth loved to work with her hands, which were warm, loving, rough, and always active. With those hands she crafted an infinite number of beautiful memories for her family and friends; a loving home, garden beds filled with flowers and kitchen herbs, home decorations and children's costumes, 8 course meals for every holiday, to name a few of the wonderful things she created. On November 24, 1984, she married Bruce Mazza who survives. Also surviving are a son, Adam Mazza of Houston; a daughter, Katie Mazza of Dallas, TX; a brother, John Dancu (Cindy) of Philadelphia; brother-in-law, Mick Mazza (Cindy) of Hollis, NH; and several nieces. Friends will be received from 12:00 to 2:00 and 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., the time of Blessing Service, Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the charity of one's choice.
