McCARTHY, Mary A. (Madden) Age 91, of Brockton, died peacefully, on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Born in Galway, Ireland on November 16, 1933, the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Carter) Madden. Beloved wife of the late Jeremiah McCarthy. Devoted mother of Sheila A. MacPherson and her husband, James of Braintree, Maureen F. McCarthy and her husband, Bubba Ayisumo of Abington, Trish M. McCarthy and her husband, Brian of Winchester, the late Timothy G. McCarthy and the late Jamie M. McCarthy. Loving grandmother of Jade Ayisumo of Abington, Dr. Sean MacPherson and Matthew MacPherson of Braintree and Caroline, Dorothy and Jeremiah McCarthy of Winchester. Dear sister of Michael Madden and his late wife, Dolly of Melrose, Kathleen Pare and her husband, Raymond of Brockton, the late John Madden and the late James Madden. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visiting Hours are on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 4-8 PM, in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH, at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the funeral home at 9:30 AM, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree at 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
