Mary Meyer Obituary
Evansville - Mary Sue Meyer, 83, of Evansville, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at her home. She was born November 29, 1937 in Evansville to the late Nellie (Beach) and Charles Fred Beaven.
Sue was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Sue loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending all of their activities. She also enjoyed meeting her friends for breakfast.
She is survived by her son, Michael Meyer; daughters, Cathy (Daniel) Titzer and Caren (Dennis) Cozart; grandchildren, Audra Meyer, Alex (Alicia) Meyer, Chase Meyer, Dana Jo (Caleb) Pool, Daniel (Katelyn) Flick, Carrie (Eric) Reffett and Jordan Cozart; great grandchildren, Adalee Meyer, Elli and Easton Wagner, Harrison Flick and Gabe Reffett; sister, Nancy (Tony) Russell; and brother, Charles Fred (Donna) Beaven.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald Meyer; son, Keith Meyer; and sisters, Marion Deutsch, Carolyn Lawson, and Dorothy Daniel.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Ave., Evansville. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2021 at the funeral home with Father Stephen Lintzenich officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Indiana Chapter, 5635 N. 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
The family would like to thank Ascension St. Vincent Cancer Center, Dr. Ziegler and staff and Heritage Hospice, especially Sonya, for their kind and compassionate care of Sue.
