Mary Lynne Miller, age 75 of Tripp, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Menno-Olivet Care Center in Menno.
Visitation for Mary will be held 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2023 at First American Lutheran Church in Tripp. Her funeral will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Barry Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery, Tripp.
Mary was born December 28, 1947 to Oscar H. and Doris M. (Schult) Gudmunson in Sioux Falls, SD. Mary grew up in California. She was a 1966 graduate of Santa Monica High School. She then completed her studies in cosmetology, graduating in 1967 from Santa Monica Beauty College. Mary was united in marriage to Robert G. Miller that same year, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Santa Monica, the same church where she was confirmed in the 8th grade. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She always had a passion for arts and crafts.
Robert and Mary relocated from San Juan Capistrano to Tripp in 2005. She was a member of First American Lutheran Church and Tripp American Legion Auxiliary.
Mary is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Ginger Miller; granddaughter, Hailey Miller and a host of wonderful friends.
Mary asked that memorials be directed to Wounded Warriors/Disabled American Veterans.
