Mary Louise Walker Miller, 78, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the home of her daughter in Flower Mound, Texas. She was born on July 17, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to Lillian Walker.
Mary grew up in Dallas, Texas. Before graduating high school, she was a Debutante. She graduated high school in Dallas. After completing nursing school Mary worked as a private duty nurse for over 30 years. During her professional career as a private duty nurse Mary found the Lord and became a full member of True Gospel Baptist Church in Dallas. She served as an usher, in Sunday School, and various ministries in the church.
While working in the church Mary married Oscar George Miller in Dallas. They were happily married for over 30 years.
Mary was preceded in death by husband, Oscar George Miller; mother, Lillian Walker; and grandmother, Mary P Spears.
Those left to cherish Mary’s memories are her children, Larry Walker, Tonya Renee Miller, George Etta Miller; God daughter, Veronica Garcia; grandchildren, Jamaal (Stephanie) Johnson, Porscha (Mike) Miller, Larry Jr. (Annette) Walker, Victoria Harris, Samone (Manny) Hearne, DeAndria Shead, Landon Walker, Lauren (Jarrell) Franklin; great grandchildren, Raylen Easley, Logan Walker, A’Niela Miller, Uriyah Shead, Ariyanna Miller, Dallace Hunter, Emonni Evans, Maya Easter, Tatum Hearne, Harper Hearne, Isabella Franklin, and Isaiah Franklin.
Funeral service for Mary will be held at Lincoln Funeral Home (8100 Fireside Drive, Dallas, Texas 75217) on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 1PM with interment to follow at Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at Lincoln Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 5:00PM-7:00PM.
