Mary Mitchell Obituary
A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, she worked as a recreational assistant at Meadow Ridge, in Redding. She was beloved by her coworkers, residents and their families alike. She enjoyed good food, animals, traveling, and Diet Coke. A beloved and devoted daughter, sister, wife and mother, Mary Kate will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Scott, three children, Kathryn, Margaret and Clayton, and her brother Jeffrey.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 6 from 2-5 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her name be made to any local animal shelter or rescue.
Mary Kate specifically loved:
Pawsafe Animal Rescue where her two dogs, Finn and Brewer, were rescued from (Pawsafe.org)
Lucky Dog Refuge (Luckydogrefuge.com)
Or the Kentucky Humane Society where her daughter Margaret worked. (Kyhumane.org)
Please also consider donating in her name to Meadow Ridge in Redding, CT so she can continue to support the people and the place that gave her purpose.
