Mary Ann Christine Muenich, a longtime resident of
Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, August 9th at Avow Hospice. Mary Ann was born on July 19th in Wabash, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her mother (Justine), her father (Clarence), her sister (Kathy) and her loving husband (Jerry).
Mary Ann loved family the most and was the best mother a son could ever have. She had many, many wonderful friends she made over the years, mainly in Collier and Lee Counties. She frequently visited with several of her favorite groups of friends including a group from her most recent employer, known as the "Dream Team". This relationship was treasured dearly.
Mary Ann earned a master's degree in teaching and spent most of her career within the Collier County School System working at both Golden Gate Elementary and Seagate Elementary. She had another dear group of long-standing friends associated with the school system that met on a regular basis and provided a lot of joy in her life.
Mary Ann was fortunate to meet a new soul mate in 2017, Chris Pisani, after the passing of her husband. Chris, along with Mary Ann's beloved son (Matt) and daughter-in-law (Lainey) were her three most cherished local family members.
She enjoyed taking daily walks, Naples and Fort Myers beaches, Green Bay Packer football, and socializing with friends and family.
Mary Ann is survived by her partner (Chris), son (Matt), sister (Arline), daughter in law (Lainey), granddaughter (Shawn) great grandson (Conner) Brother in laws (Chuck, Dick and Michael), Sister in Laws (Carol and Holly), Chris's son (Clayton) great grandson (Luke) and many cherished nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the many outstanding nurses and care givers at both Avow Hospice and the NCH Critical Care Unit who were all persistent in making her final days as comfortable as possible.
The family will be having a private celebration of life at a date to be determined.
