Mary Lou Mussa (nee Klemm), 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 10, 2024. She was the beloved wife of her late husband Daniel Mussa in which they shared a blessed 42 years together, now reunited in heaven.
She was born and raised in Algona, Iowa where she trained to be a nurse before moving to Wisconsin. She worked many years dedicating herself, caring mostly for the elderly in long-term care. She continued to care for the elderly in her later years after moving to Appleton, WI. First in her senior apartment community and finally in her assisted living home. She made many friends during this time, playing cards, games, crafting, and socializing.
Her other favorite hobbies over the years were: Packer games, baking, cooking, knitting, discount shopping and lunches out with relatives and friends, many hours of phone conversations, socializing and helping loved ones. She brought much joy and laughter to many people and will be greatly missed. She loved being a grandmother and cherished her beloved 9 grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her children, Paula (Mike) Hamilton, Marsha (Tim) Johnson, Sondra (Don) Trimberger, grandchildren; Megan (Nathan) Divers, Taylor Trimberger, Erika Darling (Andrew Rupp), Landon Johnson (Nicole Coda), Riley Trimberger, Ryan Trimberger (Megan Eling), Ellis Darling, Emily Hamilton (Nick Vlies), Abby Hamilton, sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn (Glen) Thilges, sister-in-law Pat Klemm, brother-in-law Arthur Mussa, and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Johanna Klemm, husband Daniel Mussa, brother James Klemm, and extended family and friends.
A heartfelt thank you to Ballard Glenn Assisted Living staff, caregivers and friends, your loving hands and hearts made a special last home for Mary. She was happy and grateful and highly motivated to be the queen of crafts and bingo. Your kindness and care are appreciated and forever remembered.
A service will be held for Mary at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W Capitol Dr. Brookfield WI, 53005 in the Chapel of Flowers room. Visitation will start at 10, funeral service will start at 11 with entombment to follow. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Mary's name.
